Detect Pilot Spoofing Attack for Intelligent Reflecting Surface Assisted Systems

چکیده
Pilot spoofing attack (PSA) is a kind of active eavesdropping, which launches the identical training sequence to manipulate channel estimation outcome during pilot phase. The newly proposed intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) system vulnerable PSA because it relies on pilot-assisted methods obtain statement information (CSI). To combat in IRS-assisted systems, we consider two significant challenges: 1) distribution (CDI) uncertain, will make detection based statistic feature (SF) invalid; 2) noise uncertain when detecting practical scenarios, would impair popular energy-based detectors. In this paper, design three-step (TST) scheme. effective detector could achieve reliable performance by examining transmitter's received signal power levels occurs. method does not require prior knowledge variance and CSI both legitimate illegitimate dyadic backscatter channels. Theoretical analysis numerical simulations are presented further demonstrate efficiency our TST

Face Recognition Systems under Spoofing Attack
Face recognition system is one of the most successful application of computer vision, which has been deployed largely in recent years. In last decade, several algorithms for face recognition have been proposed in the literature. To increase reliability of face recognition systems, the systems must be able to differentiate between real genuine faces and fake faces (spoofed faces). In this paper,...
متن کاملMultiple Antennas Secure Transmission under Pilot Spoofing and Jamming Attack
Transmitter-side channel state information (CSI) of the legitimate destination plays a critical role in physical layer secure transmissions. However, channel training procedure is vulnerable to the pilot spoofing attack (PSA) or pilot jamming attack (PJA) by an active eavesdropper (Eve), which inevitably results in severe private information leakage. In this paper, we propose a random channel t...
متن کاملSecure Packet Transmission Against Pilot Spoofing and Phishing Attack
The pilot spoofing attack is one kind of active eavesdropping activities conducted by a malicious user during the channel training phase. By transmitting the identical pilot (training) signals as those of the legal users, such an attack is able to manipulate the channel estimation outcome, which may result in a larger channel rate for the adversary but a smaller channel rate for the legitimate ...
متن کاملAttack Class: Address Spoofing
We present an analysis of a class of attacks we call address spoofing. Fundamentals of internetwork routing and communication are presented, followed by a discussion of the address spoofing class. The attack class is made concrete with a discussion of a well known incident. We conclude by dispelling several myths of purported security solutions including the security provided by one-time passwo...
متن کاملRandom-Training-Assisted Pilot Spoofing Detection and Secure Transmission
The pilot spoofing attack is considered as an active eavesdropping activity launched by an adversary during the reverse channel training phase. By transmitting the same pilot signal as the legitimate user, the pilot spoofing attack is able to degrade the quality of legitimate transmission and, more severely, facilitate eavesdropping. In an effort to detect the pilot spoofing attack and minimize...
